Welcome

Dear Loomis Grammar School Families,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the 2017-2018 school year.  We are honored that you have chosen to entrust us with your children for their elementary years.  If you are new to Loomis Grammar, you just entered into a very special school.

At Loomis Grammar School our dedicated staff serves approximately 500 students in grades Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Eighth.  We believe that the foundation of a successful school is in the relationships and cooperation we build between our students, staff, parents/guardians, and community.  We are dedicated to encouraging our students to believe in themselves and helping them become knowledgeable, lifelong learners.  We also make every effort to help them gain the necessary social skills that will set them on the path to becoming successful, well-rounded adults.  If you are on our campus, be on the lookout for The Falcon Way, where we focus on Being Kind, Being Safe, and Doing Our Job.  Through The Falcon Way, we strive to create a positive, safe, and caring environment where students want to learn and have fun.

Parents/Guardians and community members are always welcome at our school.  One of the best ways you can support your children is to stay involved.  This can be accomplished in a variety of ways.  First and foremost, be sure to stay in contact with your child’s teacher.  Don’t hesitate to reach out to them with any questions or concerns.  Additionally, we encourage you to become active participants in our school through volunteering in the classroom, attending school events, becoming part of our wonderful Parent Teacher Club (PTC), etc.  We understand that it is not always possible to volunteer.  Just as important as volunteering is having a nightly routine of reading to your child, talking about their day, reinforcing The Falcon Way, and getting them prepared for the next day of school.

I am honored and humbled to be the principal of Loomis Grammar School and part of such an outstanding team!  I look forward to working with you and your children.  Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have a suggestion, concern, or just a good story to share. It is through our partnership that we will be able to provide our children with meaningful, educational experiences.

Great things happen when you wear Loomis Grammar School blue and gold!
